How to Make
*Real* Grape Juice

It's that time again -- the cooking column! After having your own homemade fresh grape juice, you'll never go back to Welch's.

Although you might think that the growing is the hard part, our concord grape arbor was covered in two seasons!

After cutting them off the vine, remove the stems and wash well. Enjoy how they glisten in the sun!

Then get yourself a potato masher and a good helper ...

... or even two good helpers!

After not too long, you will have nicely mashed grapes.

Now it's time to boil them -- both to pasteurize and to enrich the flavor.

Now strain. Push down with that potato masher to get as much juice out as possible.

Let it cool, and voila -- luscious grape juice. Trust me, it's like nothing you have tasted.
