The Talking Clock

Micah was excited as he unwrapped all the pieces of our talking alarm clock kit.

Here you can see some of the first inner workings, including the buttons and switches from the inside.

The hour and minute buttons were made of soft rubber, but the reset button was made of plastic. The switches slid through different grooves. You don't usually think of all that goes into the buttons of your newest toy!

Now it's coming together. The inside looked even cooler when we added the speaker, integrated circuit, and connecting wires.

The front face seemed a little boring to us, so we added on a cut-out picture of Micah and Sadie. The numbers up to 12 came with the clock.

Micah and Sadie were so excited when it was done. We pressed the button that tells you the time over and over again!
